D.C. United keeps the hot streak going, and Filibuster is riding that wave too. Adam, Ben, and Jason are here to talk about D.C. United’s 2-0 win over the New England Revolution, and we start the program by talking about the historic commentary crew. We then get into the game itself, talking about D.C. United’s offense and how they are able to keep the pressure up without getting many cards, especially in the case of Luciano Acosta. We also discuss how the central midfield partnership of Junior Moreno and Russell Canouse has freed the fullbacks from a lot of defensive responsibilities, the play that sprung Luciano Acosta for the first goal, and whether or not this streak means less since it has been mostly against bad teams. In the second segment we bring on evil Jason Iapicco from Red Bull Rant to talk about the New York Red Bulls. We discuss how big this rivarly is now that the Red Bulls have a local competitor, their signings in the summer window, and what Tyler Adams has meant to the team. We also discuss the amount of money paid out for Kaku and how this team fits into the global Red Bull machine, before ending the segment talking about the departure of Jesse Marsch and asking Jason to gameplan the MetroStars for us. Give it a listen!
