It is a long Filibuster today, and it is a sadness sandwich with some USMNT in the middle. Jason, Adam, and Ben start by talking about D.C. United’s epic failures last week, and first wonder if the Houston Dynamo loss was actually worse than the Seattle Sounders loss. We also discuss how the rest of the season is a waste if they don’t start signing players now, the transfer market in general, and central midfield in specific. We also are happy the Nick DeLeon is back, but that’s about the only thing about which we are happy. In the second segment we talk about the US men’s national team’s run to the Gold Cup Final tomorrow night. We get into how bad Mexico was against Jamaica, the Jamaica team they will be facing, and whether Clint Dempsey will start. We also ponder the central midfield and try and figure out who will be there with Michael Bradley. Finally, we invite on Alex Gormley of E Pluribus Loonum to preview United’s weekend matchup against the other Interlopers United, Minnesota United. We discuss their inaugural season and their play under Adrian Heath, both on offense and on defense. We check in with the status of Collin Martin before asking about their new stadium. We end, as always, by asking Alex to gameplan Minnesota for us. Give it a listen!
