In the second segment, we bring back our famous offseason segment Goat or Fox, in which we take a look at every player on United’s 2018 roster and ask whether or not we want them back for next season. In this episode, we start off with the first four players alphabetically on D.C. United’s roster, before ending by enjoying some Metro Playoff Failure. Give it a listen!

D.C. United is plowing right into the offseason, and Filibuster will be here with you every step towards the 2019 season. Jason, Adam, and Ben start this episode by talking about D.C. United’s apparent new technical director, Dane Murphy. Relatedly, wetalk about the way that Loudoun County United will fit with D.C. United under the leadership of a single technical director. With a USMNT game coming up today, we have to talk about the ridiculous furor surrounding Wayne Rooney’s callup, before ending the segment talking about some MLS awards and especially ones that feature Luciano Acosta and Mr. Roney. In the second segment, we talk about some MLS expansion news, dunk on some badges and some Telstar logos (but not Telstar the ball) and punt the playoffs to next week’s episode. Give it a listen!

Welp, that wasn’t the way that we thought any of this was going to go down. Jason, Adam, and Ben are here to talk about D.C. United’s loss to the Columbus Crew, sending them home for the rest of the 2018 MLS season. We talk about this team writ large, talk about the amazing atmosphere in Audi Field, and talk about what the Crew attempted to do to frustrate United. We talk about the role that Paul Arriola played in this game, before ending by talking some about Allen Chapman. In the second segment, we start to lay out D.C. United’s offseason checklist and what that means for the team. We talk roster, front office, and that team up in Loudoun County, before answering some of your questions from the Twitterbox. D.C. United ended the 2018 MLS regular season in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, and we are here to talk about it. Jason, Adam, and Ben talk about United’s draw against the Chicago Fire and what a wild ride this entire season has been. We break down how there weren’t a lot of good chances for either attack, and heap some praise on D.C. United’s defense as off late. We discuss Ben Olsen’s tactics in this game, and what starters and substitutes we would like to see against the Columbus Crew. In the second segment, we bring on Patrick Guldan of Massive Report to talk about D.C. United’s midweek matchup against the Columbus Crew. We start, of course, with #savedthecrew, before moving onto Gregg Berhalter’s likely jump to the USMNT. We ask him about the Crew’s attack, including Gyasi Zardes and Justin Meram, as well as breaking down their defense. We ponder if Berhalter will throw a tactical curveball at D.C. United, and end with the future of the Crew, including whether they will be able to get Guillermo Barros Schelotto to come back and coach them. Give it a listen!
